Welcome back everyone!

As life returns to normality and Travel Restrictions are easing, London is waking up from the pandemic nightmare. Europe and the rest of the world are starting to travel again and we are gaining our freedom again to explore and connect with people and different cultures.

At the Alhambra Hotel, we have been busy preparing to start welcoming guests again. Some great news as well! 52 becomes 55 rooms in September… It is with great pleasure that we are happy to announce that 3 more rooms will be added to the Alhambra Hotel and we hope to have them ready by end of September/ beginning of October. With these rooms, we have kept some of the original features dating back to 1950’s, such as the beautiful handmade marble floor.

London Design Festival: 18th until 26th September 2021

The London Design Festival returns in 2021 with its broad mix of outdoor installations, design exhibitions and hands-on workshops. You can expect things to look very different this year, but the fest will still be doing its best to bring remarkable design both old and new to a vast London audience.

The Greenwich + Docklands International Festival

The Greenwich + Docklands International Festival is returning for a bumper end-of-summer edition with big, bold, mostly free outdoor events. The full line-up has just been announced and it’s pretty damn spectacular. Most audacious is surely ‘Borealis’, Swiss artist Dan Acher’s recreation of the Northern Lights over Greenwich and Woolwich – we’re not exactly sure how he does this but it involves lasers and stuff and sounds amazing: it’ll run from 8.30pm-10pm in the skies above Greenwich August 7 to September 5, and then Woolwich September 9 to 11.

When is it? Until Sept 11. Where is it? Various events across Greenwich, the City of London, Canary Wharf, Thamesmead and the Royal Docks.
